This year’s slogan “ may you stay forever young “ reflects our GBL Family 2019 outlook on life and has a little bit of history and significance to us and our Dylan…

In the early 1960’s a young musician, Robert Zimmerman left Minnesota, moved to the Greenwich Village scene in NYC and changed his name to honor poet Dylan Thomas… he thereafter became Bob Dylan.

Our Dylan grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas and listened to CD’s of Bob Dylan around the house and on family vacation trips. When I inherited Dylan’s iPod that travelled with him on his adventures; it was full of Bob Dylan songs. It made me smile knowing that we shared Bob’s music along the way. Bob Dylan a 2016 Nobel Prize winner for literature, was a prolific poet, song writer, original rapper, and a unique singer. In 1973 “Forever Young” was written as a lullaby for his eldest son Jesse; and it expresses a father’s guidance and hope that his child will remain strong and happy.
